Hey all, We're pretty lucky being situated just a few streets over from Cookson Gold who have a strong ethical policy (yay!) - but they don't carry everything we're after as they tend to offer finer quality materials which we don't always need. So I'm wondering - does anyone have recommendations for ETHICAL suppliers (so we don't just rely on rogue eBay sellers or similar!) of the following: 1. Plain 'metal' headbands (not worried about whether they have teeth or not) 2. Chain - loose or finished - in odd colours, e.g. black, pink, etc. Likely to be aluminium chain. No one we've bought from has been 100% sure of the roots of their supply chain! :/ Lastly, Cookson Gold do self-adhesive brooch backs which we're happy with, however they're Nickel - so we were wondering if anyone has found any suppliers of similar, but in a different metal - aluminium, steel, etc. Anything non-allergenic? We list the material, so we're not hugely worried currently, but if we could switch to something less problematic that would be amazing. We've found lots of brooch backs which have the holes for being sewn on which we COULD glue on, but we think they look a bit less 'finished' than the self adhesive ones we currently use (and they'd be a lot more faffy!) ANY THOUGHTS? Adrienne & Kirsty www.frillyindustries.com
