Apparently Ikea Ribba range of picture frames are made from sustainable and/or 100% recycled materials. Not sure about their other ranges though so make sure to contact them first.

In addition to Michael's post, Ikea's Ribba range for the UK are produced in Portugal and Poland under completely ethical conditions. That's also the case with the vast majority of their range of frames but it's worth double checking.

If you do want to check with Ikea about a particular product, you can email their PR team at media.lounge.uk@ikea.com. They got back surprisingly quickly when we had a question. If you do find out about any other ranges that are ethical/sustainable etc feel free to post them here.

I use the Ribba range-i must admit I was swayed by price rather than ethics! It's great to know they get the thumbs up! I'm looking forward to using this forum for future supplies!

We use Everest Picture Framing for everything - again, they're super local to us, which is handy! Never really asked about how they source materials to make their frames, however next time we go in I will find out. I know they make their own frames, and are a lovely family-run business! :) www.everestpictureframing.co.uk
